I am going to do it...
Set a mouse trap in my little veg patch. Those varmints have now started using new tactics with me - let the seeds germinate, the beans grow a few inches, then chew them off and drag the plant down to the family. They are really annoying, I might even trap a cat and put one above the exit holes until the whole family of mice have been caught.

You are so right - OK, where's that cat?
Cats are very clean animals really and that would solve your problem. I say go for it and get the cat, but don't scream when the little dear leaves the mouse at your door as a present to mummy!
