Elusive library books and sulking machines.

I don't believe that inanimate objects are inanimate at all! How does a library book go missing when I am determined to have a system of putting them in a certain place so that I don't have to spend hours searching for them? Six books behaved, but Mr Timothy went walkabouts.

Then we get to the electricity - well! I have had one light refusing to work for some months, so I turned off the supply and checked that the fitting was still wired in and nothing had burnt out. No, all was as it should be. Next my alarm system stopped working and finally a whole light strip blacked out. Time for an electrician? Too true.

Well, the light that had been refusing to work for agges just needed its wires wiggling, there was nothing wrong with it!!! The light strip's transformer had burnt out - well that's kind of normal.

But, the alarm system takes the biscuit - there was power going in to it so the elcetrician couldn't see any problem. I turned the power off the next day so that I could check something in the garage, and it(the alarm) started screaming at me. I dashed back to turn the power on and from then on it has been working wonderfully. Why???

Doesn't that sound like a sulky temperament to you?

Almost there!

Ah, the joys of a large rucksack!! I have managed to apck most of my stuff, at the moment there are just a pair of sandals looking forlorn which won't fit in. However, I am going to see Shirley for a tutorial on packing a rucksack properly... I shall take notes and giggle a lot! I think a glass or two of wine would help packing skills - don't you?
